Glow Event Recaps

GLOWLOT 2 Was Our Biggest Night Yet, and We’re Still Glowing From It

What a night. What a crowd. What a course.

On October 17th, over 70 players packed into GoodLot Farmstead Brewing Co.’s hop farm for GLOWLOT 2, and from the first disc off the tee to the last one sunk in a glowing basket, this one was everything we hoped it would be. If you were there, thank you. Genuinely, deeply, thank you. If you weren’t, keep reading, because we’ve got a lot to tell you about, and we’re already thinking about next year!

A perfect night, even if it was a little chilly

The weather couldn’t have asked for better timing. Clear skies, calm air, and just enough of a bite in the October night to remind everyone it was officially sweater season. A few extra layers were earning their keep out there, but nobody seemed to mind. If anything, the cold just made the glow hit a little brighter.

An actual glow ace

We have to talk about this one. Somewhere out on the course, under all that UV light and color, a player stepped up and sank a glow ace. An actual hole-in-one, in the dark, on a glowing basket. If you were the one who threw it (or if you saw it happen), we want to hear about it, because that’s the kind of moment that deserves to be remembered and retold at every GLOWLOT from here on out!

So many new faces

Here’s the number that means the most to us: over half of everyone who came out to GLOWLOT 2 had never set foot on GoodLot’s course before. That’s more than 70 people, and the majority of them discovering this hop farm, this course, and glow disc golf itself for the very first time, all in one night! Open to all skill levels and no experience required isn’t just something we say, it’s what actually happened out there, and watching that many new players fall in love with the game at once is exactly why we do this!

Thank you, GoodLot

None of this happens without GoodLot Farmstead Brewing Co. Their team, their property, their willingness to hand over an entire hop farm and let us light it up glowing green, blue, and purple for a night, that’s not something we take for granted.

From the staff who helped the night run smoothly to the course itself, which might be one of the most beautiful settings we’ve ever gotten to glow up, thank you for having us. Thank you for trusting us with your space. And if you grabbed a pint while you were there, we hope it was a good one. GoodLot’s beer is the kind of thing that’s worth the trip on its own, and pairing it with a night of glow disc golf felt like the easiest decision we’ve made all year!

What’s next

We’re not ready to make any promises just yet, but we will say this: GLOWLOT has a way of getting bigger every time we do it. We’re already thinking about what GLOWLOT 3 could look like in 2027, and if this year was any indication, you’re going to want to be there.

Thank you again, to every single one of the 70+ players who showed up, to everyone who tried glow disc golf for the first time, to whoever sank that glow ace, and to GoodLot Farmstead Brewing Co. for giving us the perfect place to do it. We’ll see you next time!
