Our First Glow Golf Night at Black Bear Ridge Was Amazing!

It's official: GLOW GOLF has a home at Black Bear Ridge, and judging by how fast this one sold out, we'll be back soon!

On October 3rd, we brought the full Dr. Glow Experience to a traditional round of golf for the very first time, lighting up Black Bear Ridge's Academy Short Course for a night that sold out at over 50 players. If you were one of them, thank you. If you missed it, here's what you missed!

A perfect night for Golf!

Beyond the course itself, the night gave us something we couldn't have planned for. With Black Bear Ridge's course going fully dark after sunset, the sky above it turned into its own show, a perfectly clear night with some of the brightest stars we've seen at one of our events. Between the glow on the ground and the stars overhead, it made for a setting that felt genuinely special, not just lit up, but completely transformed.

Bright balls, brighter nights

The LED golf balls lit up every shot. Watching them arc through the dark, trailing color across the fairways, was exactly the moment we hoped for when we first started talking about bringing glow golf to a traditional course. If you were out there swinging, you know the feeling!

What we learned

Every first event teaches you something, and this one was no exception. We've already got ideas for making the next glow golf night even bigger and even brighter, and we're bringing all of it into planning for round two! A great first attempt, with plenty of room to make it greater!

None of this happens without the team at Black Bear Ridge. From the pro shop to the grounds crew, their staff made this night run smoothly from start to finish, and we're grateful for a venue partner this invested in making glow golf work. Thank you, as always, for having us!

What's next

No date is locked in yet for the next glow golf night, but Black Bear Ridge is just as excited as we are to do this again. For now, the best thing you can do is keep an eye on our social channels and theirs. When the next one gets announced, you'll hear about it there first.
