What a Night at Black Bear Ridge
This past Saturday, the Forest and Fairways Disc Golf Course officially opened its gates at Black Bear Ridge, and honestly, the turnout said everything. It did not disappoint.
A Great Mix on the Fairways
What stood out most wasn't the course itself, it was who showed up to play it. Veteran disc golfers were teeing off right next to people throwing their very first disc. Longtime glow fans lined up beside folks seeing a glow round for the first time in their lives. Everyone just mixed right in, and that's really the whole point. A course and a night built for anyone willing to show up and give it a shot!
The Course, the Property, the People
We'll just say it plainly: the course is beautiful, the property is stunning, and the Black Bear Ridge staff made the entire day look effortless, from the ribbon cutting all the way to the last glow disc landing in the basket on hole 9. Nine holes, short and long tee options, all set against nearly 900 acres of rolling, tree lined land along the Moira River. Hard to picture a better setting for a first round.
A First for Everyone Involved
There was a lot riding on Saturday, and it delivered on every front. It was the grand opening of a brand new course. For a lot of players, it was their first time setting foot on Black Bear Ridge's amazing property at all. And once the sun went down, it became the first ever Dr. Glow Experience in Eastern Ontario, our glow round finally making its way east of Toronto!
